What is laminate flooring?

Luxury wood-effect vinyl products, like Amtico, like Amtico, are often referred to incorrectly as "laminate" by estate agents, interiors magazines and property programmes. True laminate flooring is increasingly uncommon due its problematic nature and it’s not something we’re usually willing to work with because we feel the results are, all too often, disappointing.

Can you install safety flooring?

Safety flooring can be a legal requirement for some settings, but often it’s just a matter of common sense. We have a wealth of experience working with safety flooring, and extensive knowledge of the products available for you to choose from. The materials available have come on leaps and bounds in recent years so you no longer have to compromise on aesthetics in the name of slip-resistance. There are now standards-compliant materials with realistic wood-grain and stone effects, which make a practical and attractive choice for jobs where looks matter – such as in care homes, restaurants and bars – and may be more ‘sympathetic’ in period buildings.
